Wallace, independent professional woman who enrolled UC Berkeley at 42, later died serving Armenian genocide relief efforts. Home damaged in catastrophic 1923 Berkeley Fire, carefully reconstructed preserving original character. Included within Berkeley's Rose Walk Landmark designation. Sits atop Bernard Maybeck's 1913 Beaux-Arts pedestrian stairway, connecting one of Berkeley's most distinctive architectural enclaves. Unobstructed Bay views to San Francisco and Golden Gate.
